The tree nurseries are looking vibrant as the seeds have germinated and are growing strong ahead of being planted out at the end of the year into early 2024.
Several of the farmers we are working with in Mzimba South are Mzondi, Penjani, Macloud and Tally.
Mzondi is 23 years old and a father of one. He is raising 1,200 seedlings and is very motivated to provide a future for his family.
Penjani is part of Kachera club. He is raising 3,200 seedlings with the help of his five children.
Macloud is from Chiwale Village and is 56. Also a father of five, he is enjoying his first year of raising seedlings. In his tree nursery he has 2,500 seedlings.
Finally Tally, also from Chiwale Village, has raised an impressive 7,000 seedlings.
