Maston, our agriculture expert, talks here in this video about how the vegetable and chicken project works. He continues to train community clubs on maximising their vegetable yields to sell at market, and then teaching them how to raise the chicks and run a business.
He said, “People couldn’t believe that vegetables could buy day old chicks, feed and vaccines – now they have proven it. This project can support the livelihood of the farmers we work with.”
Maston continued to explain that not only are the clubs making money but they benefit from the chicken manure which they use on their fruit trees and farms to increase crop yields.
