Music is great isn’t it, it provides so many of us with joy and happiness. At our Disability and Rehabilitation groups, as well as the opportuntity to play with sensory toys, the children have access to instruments.
At Kachere group, the latest session was like a family band practice with Stewart singing, his little sister Nellie, pictured here, on the bells, and their dad playing the xylophone.
Both Stewart and Nellie have cataracts and although Stewart has had an operation, Nellie is still waiting for hers as she had malaria when she was due to have her operation.
For an hour she happily created sounds and touched the bells, counting them as she went. We are excited for next week too as we have two volunteers arriving, both with music and music therapy experience. Learn more here.
