The community fruit tree nurseries are doing well. Some of the seeds have germinated whilst others, like tangerines, take longer. Farmers have learnt a technique that by covering them with dry grass, they germinate quicker.
And for the other fruit tree seeds that have germinated, the community group members continue to work hard as they need to water them and ensure they do not get attacked by pests.
Our fruit tree team are also running workshops on manure making and how to prepare their land later in the year for planting out.
