Fun fact
When we first talk about the Fish for Tomorrow conservation project to fishermen, District Fisheries officers and others involved in the fishing industry in Malawi, one of the challenges is demonstrating how some nets catch even the baby fish.
To overcome this, we asked our local wood carver Faston to make us some wooden replicas. When on a beach or even in an office, the team have these wooden fish and scraps of fishing nets of different mesh sizes to demonstrate.
A simple yet visual way to get the message across – that’s what we are all about at Ripple Africa. Simple, low tech and innovative solutions.
