Things are getting festive with RIPPLE Africa! There’s only five days left before Christmas, and at RIPPLE Africa we’re doing our best to prepare for the holiday season both at home and in the UK.
In the UK, we’re working hard to promote our 2012 Christmas campaign with our special video of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” sung by RIPPLE Africa staff and friends. This video is fun and cheerful, and we want lots of people to see it and share in the Christmas cheer! If you haven’t watched it already, take a few minutes out of your day to have a laugh and get into the Christmas spirit. Even better, share it on your Facebook and pass it on!
Our Christmas videos are about fun, but it’s also a great time to donate to RIPPLE Africa. Lots of our supporters have made a donation in place of sending Christmas cards or gifts, and it’s not too late to do the same by donating to our special Christmas appeal now.
In Malawi, RIPPLE Africa staff will once again enjoy a tasty Christmas meal, thanks to the generous donation from previous volunteers Marc and Rachael Hempling who have been treating RIPPLE staff to a festive party for several years now! RIPPLE Africa volunteers Lindsey and Monika have been working hard to make Mwaya festive, and have a miniature tree and tinsel to get into the seasonal fun.
RIPPLE Africa is also excited to welcome previous volunteers Frank and Liz on Christmas Eve, who will return on a short visit for their third stint in Malawi. Frank and Liz have been supporters of RIPPLE Africa ever since they volunteered in 2009, and over the past couple months they have been baking up a storm to raise money for RIPPLE Africa and the Mwaya community by making lots of tasty treats. Their hard work has helped raise over 2000 Euro! Thank you Frank and Liz, and we hope you have a wonderful time at Mwaya!
For those of you who regularly follow our Mwaya Mondays blog, you may be disappointed that we’ll be taking a small break from the blog until the end of the holiday period. But don’t forget to check back again in the New Year!
