Students at the primary and secondary schools we support in Malawi have been putting what they have learnt in Agriculture class into practice.
Working in teams, they have been clearing and preparing the land to plant more fruit trees. Working closely with Maston from our fruit tree nursery, they have been keen to understand the process of growing trees from seeds.
Maston who is running the school tree planting initiative said, “The students are keen to take what they are learning home so that they can grow fruit trees with their families too. This will assist in developing the communities and ensuring more people have access to fruit.”
