Sitting under a tree on a hot sunny day is a welcome relief from the heat but imagine if there were no trees. For large parts of Malawi that is in fact the case and there aren’t many trees. In areas that have experienced deforestation the only trees left standing are fruit trees and those surrounding graveyards.
This is why our Forest Conservation project is so important. Not only do trees provide shelter but they regulate rainfall, reduce soil erosion and we think you’d all agree, they are beautiful to look at.
Would you like to help us protect forests? For every tree planted we protect three in an existing forest. Take a look here.
