Meet Yotam, another of the multiplication farmers we are working with. He is producing improved sweet potato vines so more families can grow and benefit from this nutritious variety.
Yotam has established sweet potato vine mother plots in the dambo areas near his farmland but are you wondering what a dambo is?
A dambo is a seasonally waterlogged area usually found alongside streams or at the head of a drainage network. They are important especially to subsistence farmers as they are wet enough during the dry season to be able to grow crops without irrigation.
