It’s a new growing season for our fruit tree clubs and already they are seeing lots of seeds germinating. This year we are working with 40 new clubs as well as some of the existing clubs from last year.
The new clubs will focus mainly on growing fruit trees whereas the older clubs are learning how to start small vegetable and chicken businesses.
Here is James from one of the new clubs with his soursop seedlings. Soursop, for anyone unfamiliar, is part of the custard apple family. The flesh of the fruit is white with black seeds and tastes quite sour, hence the name.
