We mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we had volunteers arriving who would be introducing music therapy to the clients both attending group sessions and receiving home visits through our Disabilities and Rehabilitation Project.
Here’s Ruaridh and Thom playing the guitar. Ruaridh has learnt some local songs that the children know and through a variety of different instruments, has been encouraging the children and their families to use music.
The children are really engaged and instantly smile at the sound of music so we are looking forward to Ruaridh putting together a guide for Matilda, our Project Manager, to use so that she can continue this when the volunteers return home.
