The Fish Conservation Committee in Salima have now collected illegal mosquito nets used for fishing in a pile 6 metres diameter by 1.5 metres high – that’s a lot of mosquito nets!
Without the vigilant Fish Conservation Committees these would continue to be used for fishing. This is amazing work with the community developing real ownership of their fish resources.
