It’s hard to get to across the genuine joy and delight of the women in Muombo village who are benefiting from one our fuel-efficient cookstoves.
For an hour and a half the team were visiting the village to monitor progress and during this time, the singing and dancing did not stop.
In Nkhata Bay District we are fortunate to still have trees but much of the south is heavily deforested which is why our cookstoves, which use less wood and smaller pieces, are being received so positively. Women are also using agriculture waste such as corn cobs to cook with too.
We are proud of the Malawian teams who are working closely with the communities to achieve such brilliant results.
