It’s our Birthday Week and we are celebrating 20 years of Ripple Africa! Our long-term commitment has been key to us making such a positive impact in one of the world’s poorest countries, made possible by our wonderful teams and with thanks to the generosity of all of our donors like you.
Visit our YouTube channel to hear our founder Geoffrey Furber sharing our achievements over the past two decades.
This year we have a special birthday wish to help us celebrate 20 years and that’s to plant as many fruit trees as possible.
For every donation received this birthday week, we’ll plant an additional tree as a thank you. Why? Because our fruit tree project really does have the Ripple Effect.
Not only does the family growing the fruit trees benefit from the fruit to eat, but they can sell any surplus fruit at market to raise an income. Grant us our birthday wish here.
We are having a great birthday week and thank you to everyone who has already granted us our birthday wish of planting fruit trees.
Communities love planting fruit trees as they benefit from the fruit to eat and can sell any surplus at market.
The 50 community clubs are growing papaya, guava, lemon, orange, tangerine, avocado and tamarind seedlings as well as some other local varieties.

What a wonderful week we have had celebrating our 20th birthday…and it’s still not quite over!
We have received some of the loveliest birthday wishes and messages of congratulations for the work and impact we have made in Malawi over the past two decades.
Everyone at Ripple Africa is truly grateful for your support, generosity and kindness – tawonga ukongwa, zikomo kwambiri, thank you very much.
